Google launches Online Magazine “Think Quarterly”

Google has launched its own online magazine named “Think Quarterly”. The magazine aims at constantly keeping track of the changes in the world.

The first edition was launched out of UK and is a 68 page attractive read. Th creative agency “The Church of London” has edited and designed it. It has articles about everything that may affect the businesses of the world. The online magazine is visually very appealing. It uses a rich flash app and the writing precision is as good as BusinessWeek.

The articles are authored by freelancers and other contributors. They are opinions and thoughts about major business and technology topics. Google has managed to rope in Simon Rogers (editor of The Guardian‘s Datablog), Ulrike Reinhard (editor of WE Magazine), and other journalists for the project. The magazine also features interviews with Vodafone UK CEO Guy Laurence, Google Chief Economist Hal Varian and famed psychologist Peter Kruse.

The magazine is aimed at providing news on the accelerating change with varied opinions and suggestions to reflect on. Google has launched this magazine to enter the media space or just an attempt to increase the intellectual curiosity is still unclear. But all in all this project is an interesting experiment.
