G-mail has introduced a new feature in which you can now switch between multiple accounts without actually having to log out.
Google has brought out a new feature that will help users having multiple accounts on Gmail. Previously users were only able to log into only one Google account from the same browser at a given time. But thanks to Google engineers, users can now sign into multiple accounts from within the same browser, thanks to its new multiple sign-in function.
To access this special feature users will have to go to google.com/accounts and click the link next to ‘Multiple sign-in’. After you sign into your first account, you can then sign in with up to two extra accounts from the accounts menu in the top right-hand corner of Gmail.
But unfortunately this service is in its beginning stages and thus comes with certain limitations.
o The new feature is not compatible with Blogger and Picasa Web Albums, you’ll be defaulted to the first account you signed in with during that browser session.
o Google is still working on making Gmail and Calendar work offline with multiple sign-in.
o Multiple account sign-in only works on desktop browsers and the option cannot be accessed through users phone’s browser.
