Apparently, the software giant is gearing up for the web browser war that seems to be heating up slowly. Neowin reported about a media invite being sent out about Microsoft holding Beauty of the Web event, again. Microsoft’s IE9 team would be hosting the event so we certainly anticipate IE9 final announcement. Microsoft held IE9 Beta announcement event with the same name – Beauty of the Web in September 2010.

Co-incidentally, Mozilla is also expected to release the Firefox 4.0 final version in March. Today, Google Chrome 10 matured to Beta stage and version 11.10 developer build was released. Yes, there’s no end to new versions of desktop web browsers.

We shall wait till March 14 to see if Microsoft will announce IE9 final or some eye-candy feature related to the same.

Chrome Successes over Firefox In The Top Browser Run

December 3rd, 2010

Edging out Firefox 27.80 percent to 27.67 percent Chrome has now passed Firefox as the most preferred browser for the month of November.

It has been recently noticed that Google’s browser was only about 3 percent away from passing longtime leader- Firefox, making huge gains.

What leaves us wondering is- how long Chrome would survive the competition as Mozilla is slated to launch Firefox 4 early next year. So far, the update looks to be a big improvement both in terms of speed and functionality. Features like F1 (Mozilla’s experimental social browser add-on) and Panorama, are surely impressive.

The November month stats reveal the breakdown:

  • Chrome: 27.80%
  • Firefox: 27.67%
  • Safari: 20.42%
  • Internet Explorer: 15.74%

Thus we conclude its the Chrome era finally post Firefox’s decent four-year run :)

Microsoft Unveils Beta Version Of Explorer

September 16th, 2010

The beta version of Microsoft’s Internet Explore 9 was launched today.

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9 is all set to compete with Google chrome, with the launch of its beta version. The new version of IE is not merely an updated version, but rather a major overhaul of the interface and back-end coding to improve usability, security, and speed.

Knowing pretty well that its competitors like chrome and firefox are a step ahead of them because of their speed, they have improved the download speed of their websites. In addition to offering support for HTML5 and CSS3 thanks to hardware acceleration the IE9 uses the PC’s graphics chip, built to render video and games as quickly and flawlessly as possible, to display website graphics much faster than running them through the computer’s main CPU chip.

The new, improved download manager of IE9 allows you to pause and continue downloads and has been redesigned to include reputation-based security which will eliminate security warning pop-up boxes for downloads of popular files and those from trusted vendors.IE9 will also includes a private-browsing mode, called InPrivate, that doesn’t store a users browser history, nor does it save any cookies of the sites a user visit’s while in private mode

The beta version of IE9 is now available in 33 languages worldwide for download. So, what are you waiting for? Go and check it out!!

As Microsoft sets to complete 15 years, it is looking unto web browser explorer 9 to gain its sagging popularity among Internet users. The company has marked September 15th for the launch of its Beta version of its latest Internet Explorer version 9.

The new browser boasts of compatibility with HTML-5 thus leaving out flash, with HTML5, a web-standard platform can be used that requires no plug-ins. Also, IE9 uses the power of the user’s graphics processor to accelerate web content. Microsoft has also worked on its JavaScript Engine giving it a much-needed upgrade, considering how badly IE lagged behind competitors in JavaScript performance tests.

Unfortunately the browser Explorer 9 only works on Windows Vista or Windows 7 and is not compatible with Windows-XP.
