Google Searches Before You Type

Google will now suggest results even before you finish typing the search item

Search engine Google will now provide and display to users results from the moment they start typing.

The product, dubbed “Instant”, which will only be available for users logged into Google, will move instantly to a page of results that is updated as each letter is typed by users. According to Marissa Mayer, Google’s vice president of search and user experience, a typical searcher spends nine seconds entering a query, and 15 seconds searching for answers. Google hopes to shave two to five seconds per search using Google Instant.

“Google Instant gets queries and gives you search results as you type and streams those results to your computer,” marrisa said while launching their new product

She also added ” We are predicting what query you are likely to make and giving you results for that. There is actually a psychic element to it,”

Google Launches Site Based On Real Time Search Engine

Google has launched a real-time search website that will feature comments and postings from Twitter and Facebook.

Google has unveiled a new website that allows users to surf through news, comments and other information on the Internet in real time, letting them follow conversations on social network hubs such as Facebook and Twitter in one place. Users can even narrow the search to find out what people are saying on various subjects in different locations or languages.

The Google Realtime Search’ which can be accessed here at www.google.com/realtime. According to Google, with its new “full conversation” feature, users will now be able browse the entire conversation in a single glance. The tweets are even organized from the oldest to newest, so as to allow users to know how the conversation developed. Google has also worked on its Google Alerts to provide users with an E-mail alerting them the moment the topic appears on Twitter and Facebook.

Google has tied up with Facebook and Twitter to provide “Real-time Search” service.

Google Launches Google stories

Google Stories is a new platform for people to share their stories on how the search engine has impacted their lives.


A marketing strategy or blowing one own trumpet is the question on is prompted to ask after Google launches its new feature Google stories. The concept “Your Google stories: the right answer in the nick of time.” seems to be the site was inspired by the social networking site Facebook which launched “Facebook stories’ last month as part of its marketing campaign to allow people to tell their stories on the impact of Facebook on their lives.

According to official sources, the Google stories will feature stories from people who have used the search engine and how the site has influenced their actions and thoughts. The stories include experiences on how people found right information to escape fire accidents, Heart attacks and even give birth to a child.

Twitter To “Suggest” Friends for You

Twitter has launched a new feature Friday called “Suggestions for You” which directs users to other Twitter accounts they may find interesting.

Twitter will now help you find friends with similar interests, thanks to its new search engine called “Suggestions for You” which looks at several factors and then determines who on Twitter may share your interests.

The accounts recommended to users will be chosen depending on a number of factors including who the user is, and who the user already following, and who they follow, so it should provide some interesting new people to converse with you may of otherwise never known about.

If users like a suggestion they can click “follow” and visit their profile page, otherwise if you don’t want that recommendation, click “hide” and Twitter will not show that option again.
